Glide Property Management Celebrates Apprenticeships for National Apprenticeship Week

Glide Property Management celebrates its commitment to developing talent through apprenticeships for National Apprenticeship Week. With a track record of transforming apprentices into industry leaders, Glide highlights the impact of on-the-job learning in property management.

Dan Perry, who began his career with Glide as an apprentice in 2021, is now a fully qualified Property Manager and is pursuing his level 4 qualification. Dedicating one day a week to his apprenticeship has been instrumental in his development. Dan commented: “Apprenticeships are more than just a qualification—they are an investment in people and the future of our industry. With the right team supporting me, I’ve gained the experience and skills to flourish and progress my career.”

Nathan Granger, Senior Property Manager ASSOC RICS at Glide, began his journey as an apprentice in December 2019 and now leads by example. He achieved the highest recorded grade on the IRPM Members’ Exam with a score of 95%, thus becoming a Member of the Institute of Residential Property Management in February 2023, in recognition of this result, he was awarded with the British Property Federation Award in May 2023. Nathan shared: “My apprenticeship provided the foundation for my success, blending practical experience with professional qualifications. It’s proof that with dedication and the right guidance, apprenticeships open doors to senior roles and leadership opportunities.”

Sophie Kirk, who joined Glide four months ago, has been supporting the office and maintenance teams and is preparing to take on her first property portfolio. Sophie commented: “My apprenticeship has given me hands-on experience and the confidence to take on new challenges. I’m excited to manage my first portfolio and continue building my career with Glide.”

Rosie-May Flamson, Director of Block Management at Glide, commented, “I’ve been fortunate to be involved with the training and development of seven apprentices throughout my career, with four of those progressing into senior roles.

Apprenticeships are vital for bringing new talent into the industry. They offer a pathway for learning on the job and achieving qualifications, but what we truly value is a positive attitude and enthusiasm. The apprenticeship route is the ideal way to ensure staff are well-trained, qualified, and positioned to grow within the company. The technical side of property management can be taught, but a passion for learning and a strong work ethic are what drives long-term success.

Glide Property Management through Leaders Romans Group are committed to making leasehold management a career of choice, supporting people through their apprenticeship pathway with emphasis on continual improvement within the industry.”
